Why This Site Exists

Redding is the Shasta County seat, yet its records still sit in distinct systems. The Shasta County Assessor-Recorder maintains recorded documents and local birth, death, and public marriage certificates. The Superior Court of California, County of Shasta provides its own case portal. Property assessment data, voter information, City of Redding records, California license records, and Redding Library genealogy materials each have separate access rules. Our role is to organize those official starting points and explain which custodian handles each request.
